One man is dead and another injured after last night’s storms near Duncan Lake in the Boundary Water Canoe Wilderness area. Cook County Sheriff Pat Eliason says “two campers tried to get closer to the lake and away from the forest, when the winds started up and a tree came down” on them. Eliason says the condition of the injured man is unknown at this time. The names of the victims are being withheld until the families are notified.
