The 100 deadliest driving days are proving to be a challenge for motorists on Minnesota roads.
Preliminary numbers show June and July have accounted for 72 of the 209 deaths on state roads, the highest two months of the year to date. On average, 129 people are killed and nearly 9,000 motorists suffer injuries from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Officials at the Department of Public Safety are reminding motorists to put away the distractions, buckle up, drive the speed limit and never drive drunk.
