100 Minnesotans have died in traffic crashes since the start of the year. That includes six motorcyclists, 12 pedestrians and one bicyclist. The Department of Public Safety say that puts the state on track to reach or surpass last year’s total of 411 traffic deaths. In 2015, distracted driving contributed to 74 deaths, speed contributed to 78, drunk driving led to 95 and lack of seat belt resulted in 91 deaths.
