(St. Paul, MN) — The State Patrol has a message for drivers in parts of the state where heavy snow is expected: if you don’t need to make a trip, err on the side of caution and avoid making the trip if it’s not necessary. Lt. Tiffani Nielson says if you do need to travel and you wind up going off the road–stay in your vehicle and call 9-1-1. And with around 800 snow plows and extra troopers out on the roads, Nielson is urging drivers to slow down, buckle up, watch for flashing lights and to move over when possible.
