The Minnesota Trade Office is accepting nominations for the 30th-annual Governor’s International Trade Awards, which honor Minnesota companies that have excelled in the international market place. Minnesota Trade Office Executive Director Kathleen Motzenbecker says sometimes, we tend to think of bigger companies like 3-M and Cargill.  She says however “A lot of smaller businesses in Minnesota are also selling their products overseas. More than 85-hundred companies here in our state export. And 87 percent of the exporting statistics come from the small and medium size businesses.”  Awards will be given in two categories: manufacturing/services and agricultural commodities/processed food.  Nomination information can be found on their website.http://mn.gov/deed/business/exporting/
