(St. Paul, MN) — A St. Paul Police sergeant is on leave following allegations he told drivers to run over protesters. The alleged comment was posted on Facebook in response to an article in the “Pioneer Press” about a Martin Luther King, Junior Day rally that took place yesterday on the Lake Street bridge. The post detailed what people could do to avoid being charged if they hit someone. Mayor Chris Coleman issued a statement saying he is outraged. He has directed the police department to investigate.
