(Minneapolis, MN) — Golden Gopher freshman wrestler Andrew Sparks is off to a great start in his career. The former California state high school champion has won five of his six matches so far this year and says he is getting better every day. Sparks says he feeds off the energy every day in the wrestling room and that’s why he chose to come to Minnesota. The 14th-ranked Golden Gophers host No. 17 Illinois on Friday at Maturi Pavilion at 5 P-M.
