Seventeen students at Saint Olaf College in Northfield are suspended for the fall term and 50 more have been told to quarantine — that following an off-campus party without masks where at least one student was infected with COVID-19. Saint Olaf President David Anderson told students, “This is the kind of reckless behavior that will put an end to our in-person semester, and it must stop.” The Star Tribune reports at latest count, eight students at Saint Olaf have tested positive for COVID. Officials say they administered more than 34-hundred COVID tests to students, faculty and staff — and all students will be retested in two weeks, with random testing through the semester.
