(St. Paul, MN) — Governor Dayton says he’s “disappointed” the Obama administration hasn’t taken a more aggressive stance on illegal dumping of foreign steel. He plans to share that message with the president this weekend in Washington D-C for the National Governor’s Association winter meeting. Dayton says illegal dumping is ” having a devastating effect on the steel industry all over the country and we really need stronger action by the administration.” In December at Democrats’ request, the president’s chief of staff visited the Iron Range to hear from laid-off steelworkers.
