A judge has set bail at one million dollars for a 14-year-old boy accused of sexually assaulting and killing 10-year-old Lily Peters, whose body was found Monday in Chippewa Falls in western Wisconsin. District Attorney Wade Newell says the defendant “punched the victim in the stomach, knocked her to the ground, essentially strangled her, hit her with a stick, before strangling her to the point of death before he then sexually assaulted her.”
The suspect is charged in adult court in Wisconsin with first-degree intentional homicide and sexual assault of a child. Newell said Lily and the suspect are related but did not provide details. He said they left Lily’s aunt’s house together on Sunday. Lily’s body was found Monday.
