(Minneapolis, MN) — The 24th-rated University of Minnesota men’s basketball team travels to Madison, Wisconsin today where it will play the seventh-ranked Badgers tomorrow afternoon. The 9-1 Golden Gophers have beaten two ranked opponents in a row with Friday’s win over Iowa and Monday’s victory over Michigan State. Wisconsin is 8-2 after a Monday loss at home to unranked Maryland. This will be the first time the Gophers have played three ranked opponents in three straight games since 2015 when they went 1-2 against Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Wisconsin again. Golden Gopher head coach Richard Pitino says he likes how much his team has improved in areas of emphasis in the last three games, including ball movement on offense and rebounding on defense. Tomorrow’s tip time is set for 3:30 P-M at the Kohl Center.
