TIMBERWOLVES NOTES
Player Notes
• Karl-Anthony Towns led the way for the Timberwolves tonight with a team-high-tying 28 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, marking his third 25+ point/10+ rebound game of this year’s playoffs and his seventh such game of his postseason career. Only Kevin Garnett (13 games) has recorded more such postseason games in franchise history.
• Towns shot 9-10 from the free throw line in tonight’s game, marking his first game in this year’s playoffs shooting 10+ free throws and the third time doing so in his playoff career. His 90.0% shooting from the line marks his highest free throw percentage of his career when shooting 10+ free throws. Towns joins Garnett, Anthony Edwards and Wally Szczerbiak as the only players in franchise history to shoot 10+ free throws in a playoff game.
• Tonight also marked Towns’ 20th career playoff double-double, the second most such games in franchise playoff history.

• Anthony Edwards finished the night with a team-high-tying 28 points on 10-of-18 shooting, including 4-of-6 from deep, nine rebounds and six assists, marking his 10th 25+ point game of these playoffs and his 16th such game of his postseason career, extending his lead for most such games in franchise playoff history.
• Tonight also marked Edwards’ third consecutive and seventh overall 25+ point/5+ rebound/5+ assist game of this year’s playoffs and the 11th such game of his postseason career. Edwards holds the franchise lead for most such career playoff games and his three consecutive games are tied for the longest streak of such playoff games in a single postseason in franchise history (Edwards; April 21 – April 25, 2023).
• Edwards scored nine points in the third quarter, knocking down 3-of-4 shots from deep in the period. It marked the fourth time in his postseason career he made 3+ shots from beyond the three-point line in a single quarter. Edwards’ four such quarters are the most in franchise history.
• Edwards finished this postseason with totals of 441 points, 112 rebounds and 104 assists, becoming the first player in franchise history to record 400+ points/100+ rebounds/100+ assists in a single postseason. He is the 67th player in NBA Playoff history to accomplish the feat and joins LeBron James as the only player aged 22 or younger to do so.
• Tonight marks the 10th time Edwards and Towns each scored 20+ points in a playoff game, extending their franchise lead for most games by a duo.
