3 students hurt in Pleasantview Elementary School stabbing in Sauk Rapids

Three students received minor injuries this morning after another student brought a kitchen knife to Pleasantview Elementary School in Sauk Rapids and randomly stabbed them. Staff members say the victims are ages eight, nine and 13. The suspect student, who is eight years old, was taken into custody by police, then released to his parents. Two of the victims were brought to the hospital, treated and released.

University of Minnesota Director of Athletics Mark Coyle announced today that Dawn Plitzuweit has been named head women’s basketball coach.
