Player Notes
• Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves tonight with a game-high 41 points on 14-of-28 shooting, including 5-of-10 from three and a perfect 8-of-8 from the free throw line, a team-high-tying seven rebounds and one block, marking his 20th 40+ point game of his career and his 17th 40+ point/5+ rebound game of his career. Edwards’ 20 career 40+ point games are the most in franchise history and his 41 points scored, 14 field goal makes and 28 field goal attempts tonight are all franchise-highs on Opening Night.
• Edwards becomes the first player in NBA history to score 40+ points while shooting 50.0%+ from the field, 50.0%+ from three and 100% from the free throw line on Opening Night.
• Tonight marked Edwards’ 10th road game against the Trail Blazers. In those 10 road games, Edwards has totaled 299 points, tied with Larry Bird for the fourth-most points scored by any player in NBA history in their first 10 road games in Portland.

• Minnesota finished the night going 15-of-30 from three, marking the 26th time in franchise history the Wolves have made 15+ threes while shooting 50.0%+ from beyond the arch. The Wolves’ 15 made threes are the second-most made threes on Opening Night in Franchise history.
• The Timberwolves finished the night with 10 blocks, marking the 161st game in franchise history they recorded 10+ blocks and the 24th time doing so in the Chris Finch era (Feb. 22, 2021).
• With McDaniels (three blocks), Donte DiVincenzo (two blocks) and Reid (two blocks), tonight marks the first time since the 2021-22 season the Wolves had 3+ players record 2+ blocks on Opening Night.
• Led by Mike Conley, DiVincenzo and Randle, who each had two steals, Minnesota collected 10 steals on the night, marking the 745th time in franchise history they recorded 10+ steals in a game and the 114th time doing so during the Finch era.
