(Austin, MN) — The body of an adult male was pulled from the Cedar River south of Austin yesterday. The Mower County Sheriff’s Department received a call at approximately 11:30 am. Sunday morning concerning a body that had been found submerged in the Cedar River south of Austin off of Highway 105. Sheriff Terese Amazi stated that a male, believed to be between the ages of 20-35 was found dead, and authorities estimated that the body had been submerged in the river for a day or two at the most. An autopsy is being performed today, and authorities have preliminarily identified the victim, but more information will be released tomorrow. (Thanks to Jason Brandt, KAUS)
