The Minnesota Twins announced that they have acquired right-handed pitcher Jace Kaminska and cash from the Colorado Rockies, in exchange for infielder Edouard Julien and right-handed pitcher Pierson Ohl.

Kaminska, 24, missed the 2025 season recovering from Tommy John surgery on his right elbow last March. Prior to that, he made 17 appearances (16 starts) for Low-A Fresno (California League) in 2024, going 5-5 with a 2.78 ERA (87.1 IP, 27 ER), 12 walks, 104 strikeouts (10.72 K/9.0 IP), a 1.05 WHIP and a .238 opponent batting average. During that season, he was named California League Pitcher of the Year and was a California League post-season All-Star, finishing second in the league in ERA (minimum of 80.0 innings pitched). The 6-foot-2, 235-pound right-hander was selected by the Rockies in the 10th round of the 2023 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Nebraska. A native of Coffeyville, Kansas, he was named the 2019 and 2020 Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year at Caney Valley High School in Caney, Kansas.

Julien played in 267 games over parts of three seasons with the Twins, hitting .232 (182-for-786) with 35 doubles, 27 home runs, 70 RBI, 109 runs scored and 119 walks. He was selected by the Twins in the 18th round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft out of Auburn University.

Ohl made his major league debut in 2025 and appeared in 14 games for the Twins, going 0-3 with a 5.10 ERA (30.0 IP, 17 ER), seven walks and 27 strikeouts. He was selected by the Twins in the 14th round of the 2021 First-Year Player Draft out of Grand Canyon University.
