(Pittsburgh, PA) — Brooks Lee homered twice but it wasn’t enough as the Twins fell 9-3 to finish up their trip to Pittsburgh. Lee accounted for all three Twins runs with a two-run homer in the sixth inning and another shot in the ninth. Starter Zebby Matthews lasted 4 1/3 innings and gave up seven runs on six hits as the Twins drop all three games against the Pirates and fall to 27-33 on the season. Minnesota dropped six games in their 10 game road trip. Prior to the game, the Twins announced that they placed right hander Bailey Ober on the 15 day injured list with right elbow inflammation. Ober is 6-3 with a 4.59 E-R-A. He gave up eight runs on 12 hits in Saturday’s loss in Pittsburgh. The Twins called up righty Mike Paredes from St. Paul and he made his debut yesterday in relief of Matthews.
