The C-E-O of Minnesota-based 3M is the latest business leader to resign from President Trump’s Manufacturing Advisory Council. Inge Thulin says “the initiative is no longer an effective vehicle for 3M.” The CEOs of Merck, Intel, Under Armour and the Alliance for American manufacturing have also resigned from the council in the wake of President Trump’s comments about violence between white supremacists and protesters, which turned fatal in Charlottesville, Virginia.
