(Blaine, MN) — The opening round of the P-G-A Tour’s stop in Minnesota is one week from today. The 3-M Open tees off with several big names in the field and some local excitement, according to executive tournament director Hollis Cavner. Cavner says they are thrilled that fans will be allowed in the stands and ticket sales have been brisk. He says there is an appetite for Minnesota golf fans to get outside to watch a big time sporting event. He says they anticipate between 25- and 30-thousand fans to walk the T-P-C Twin Cities course in Blaine over the course of the four-day tournament. In addition, Cavner says they project to donate more than 1.5-million-dollars to Minnesota charities thanks to the success of the event. Tickets will be available for walk-up sales during the event next week.
