The Golden Gopher football team continues to put together a gameplan for this weekend’s game against the border rival Iowa Hawkeyes. Minnesota is 3-and-1, while Iowa is 3-and-2. Both teams lost games last weekend and neither wants to suffer a second consecutive Big Ten Conference defeat. Minnesota right tackle Jonah Pirsig of Blue Earth says this is a special game for him, since his hometown is so close to the Minnesota-Iowa border (11 miles). Pirsig is a senior, meaning this will be the final time he takes part in the rivalry as a player, and he wants to go out on the winning side. Kickoff on Saturday is 11:01 A-M at T-C-F Bank Stadium.
