A judge in Barron County, Wisconsin has set bail at five million dollars for 21-year-old Jake Patterson, who’s charged with two counts of first degree homicide, kidnapping and armed burglary for allegedly abducting 13-year-old Jayme Closs and killing her parents. District Attorney Brian Wright alleges Patterson, among other preparations, shaved his head and showered so no DNA or fingerprints could be found, and decided he would shoot anyone inside the home — including children — to eliminate witnesses. Wright told the judge, “…all of this indicates the defendant is a flight risk, a danger to the public, and he is unlikely to further return for further court proceedings without an exceedingly high cash bail.”
Patterson is in Barron County Jail and his next court appearance is February 6th.
