The sentence is at least 60 years in prison for a 20-year-old man convicted of fatally shooting one man and killing an infant in front of the baby’s father in Minneapolis in 2016. The judge called the actions of Jquan McInnis “brazen and heartless.” Prosecutors say McInnis believed the 20-year-old victim had stolen from him and fired five times, killing him — and then fired through the back window of the car, killing seven-month-old Jayden Redden but missing the driver, who was the baby’s father.
