U-S Representative Rick Nolan plans to introduce legislation today (MON) calling for an immediate stop to the import of foreign steel for five years. The goal is to give the U-S steel industry time to return to 100-percent of production capacity. More than 17-hundred steelworkers in Nolan’s district have lost their jobs. Nolan is also joining Governor Dayton and Senators Klobuchar and Franken in asking the U-S Labor Department to reconsider its decision on federal Trade Adjustment Assistance.
