The president of Planned Parenthood was in Fargo-Moorhead yesterday. Cecile Richards’ visit comes a week after a shooting rampage at a Colorado clinic that left three people dead, and nine hurt. Richards visited the Moorhead Planned Parenthood clinic with regional president Sarah Stoesz , before headlining a fundraiser praising local workers. The two say despite the attacks against planned parenthood, positive outpourings of support far outweigh any negative feelings they see towards the organization. Planned Parenthood remains under attack in Washington. Yesterday, the U.S. Senate voted to defund the organization. President Obama has promised to veto the bill if it reaches his desk.
