It will be eight years’ probation for a man who bought computers for his department at the University of Minnesota and then resold them on Craigslist and at pawnshops, pocketing the money to apparently support a gambling habit. It’s expected the court at sentencing will also order 34-year-old Michael McDaniel of Lilydale to pay about 134 thousand dollars in restitution. McDaniel worked at the University’s Center for Magnetic Resonance Research on the Minneapolis East Bank Campus.
