The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Alder’s small boat rescued three people from the Duluth Harbor after witnessing a 15 foot sailboat capsize. The three were on top of the overturned sailboat and were taken to the Coast Guard Station. They were in the water for less than five minutes and the Coast Guard says the water temperature at the time was in the mid-30’s. Nobody was injured. The crew of the Alder small boat were doing line handling drills on Monday evening when they saw the sailboat capsize about a mile away. The sailboat was towed to a local marina.
