The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has completed its investigation of the fatal shooting of Jamar Clark by Minneapolis police and turned its findings over to Hennepin County prosecutors for review. A-C-L-U Minnesota’s Chuck Samuelson, who along with the Minneapolis NAACP is suing to force release of video footage in the investigation file, says “now that the B-C-A’s investigation is complete, we expect to have the video in hand by the end of the week. The public deserves access to the tapes.” There’s no immediate response from the B-C-A. Samuelson says if they ask a judge to suppress the tapes, the A-C-L-U will oppose them and “we’re fully lawyered.”
