Admission to the 2016 Minnesota State Fair will remain the same as last year, under a new budget approved by the Board of Managers. Among planned new features: a Family Fair Stage at Baldwin Park; a new restroom in the Kidway block; upgrades to horse stalls in the Horse Barn; paving the Transit Hub; and a new pedestrian walkway through the Adventure Park block. Fair G-M Jerry Hammer also previewed preliminary ideas for a new complex on the north end of the fairgrounds that will likely be built in 2017 or 2018. It could include an interactive “future of agriculture” exhibit, a hall for traveling displays and an outdoor amphitheater for performing arts.
