After Dems’ big wins in election, MN DFL Party Chair Martin running for 5th term

November 10, 2018 By Bill Werner

On the heels of this week’s big wins for Democrats in Minnesota, state D-F-L Party Chairman Ken Martin announced he’s running for a fifth term. Martin says when he ran for re-election two years ago, he had two goals:  “Make sure that we win the governorship, and the other was to make sure we defeat Donald Trump. One down, one to go,” Martin says.

Republicans respond they took a U-S House seat away from Democrats in the 8th Congressional District in northeast Minnesota. Unofficial returns show the Republican candidate also winning by a small margin in the 1st Congressional District in southern Minnesota, but a recount is possible.
