(Fargo, ND) — A Minnesota woman has been charged with assaulting a flight crew member on a plane heading from Las Vegas to Grand Forks, North Dakota. 64-year-old Jody Lynn Sherry-Berg, a resident of Bemidji, faces charges for interfering with the duties of an Allegiant flight employee during the incident on January 16th. (St. Paul, MN) — A bill passed unanimously by the Minnesota House will designate part of Highway 23 in Kandiyohi County as the Sergeant Joshua A. Schmit Memorial Highway. 26-year-old Schmit was killed in action in Iraq in 2007. Representative Dave Baker of Willmar says naming this highway in his honor ensures that Sergeant Schmit’s name, his courage, and his sacrifice are never forgotten. Schmitt served in the U.S. Army and Minnesota National Guard.
