>>Authorities ID Two People Found Dead in Vehicle in Blaine

(Blaine, MN) — Anoka County authorities are identifying the two people found dead inside a vehicle in Blaine last week. Officers say 41-year-old Sarah Fay Gordon and 66-year-old Daniel Seman died of suspected gunshot wounds. The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to determine their manners of death. Deputies said last Wednesday that they were not looking for any other suspects.

(Le Sueur County, MN) — A Le Center woman is dead from a single-vehicle crash in Lexington Township. Le Sueur County Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle rollover around 8:31 this morning (MON). Investigators found 20-year-old Mahwa Adoch was heading east in a 2011 Toyota Rav 4 when she lost control while entering a curve and was ejected from the car when it rolled over into a ditch. Adoch was brought to Mayo Clinic Health Systems New Prague, where she later died of her injuries.

>>Duluth Man Arrested on DANCO Violation, Drugs, Firearm

(Duluth, MN) — A Duluth man has been arrested on an attempted violation of an active Domestic Abuse No Contact Order (DANCO). Police arrested 30-year-old Kyham Dunn at the house where there was a DANCO against him without incident before he entered the residence. A search warrant of Dunn’s vehicle turned up a handgun and 17.17 grams of cocaine. Dunn had a previous conviction for second-degree murder, making it illegal for him to possess firearms. Dunn is charged with felony possession of a firearm, second-degree sale of a controlled substance, and a Domestic Abuse Violation.

>>Rochester Man, Woman Arrested for Drive-by Shooting

(Rochester, MN) — A Rochester man and woman are in custody concerning a drive-by shooting this weekend. 27-year-old Torria Sims and 25-year-old Joseph Simmons Jr. have both confessed to the shooting. Officers responded to multiple calls about gunfire around 4 a.m. Saturday but failed to find any evidence when they arrived. Another call came 40 minutes later about a vehicle making a U-turn and firing multiple shots, to which officers did find shell casings at the scene. No reported injuries or damaged property.

>>Moorhead Man Facing Murder Charges

(Moorhead, MN) – A 26-year-old Moorhead man is in the Cass County jail facing an attempted murder charge after a shooting in Fargo early Saturday morning. A spokesperson for Fargo Police says officers were called out on a report of a shooting. They were also called to a hospital, where someone was admitted with a gunshot wound to the chest. Investigators learned the victim and suspect, identified by police as Cordell McFadden, had an argument. McFadden was arrested at Police Headquarters Saturday night.

(Burnsville, MN) — Senator Amy Klobuchar toured Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association Producer Member Heartland Corn Products (HCP) of Winthrop last week to speak on her efforts to address the state’s challenges in its ethanol industry. Klobuchar says she will urge the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to issue an emergency waiver to allow E15 sales during the summer months this year, providing year-round sales of E15 nationwide. The EPA approved such a petition for eight midwestern states, but this rule doesn’t go into effect until April 28th, 2025.

>>Hemp Licenses Available for Growers and Processors

(St. Paul, MN) — Hemp growers and processors have until April 30th to apply for a license with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. The application is available online at the MDA website. First-time applicants must also submit fingerprints and pass a criminal background check. A license is required to grow or process industrial hemp in Minnesota. This license does not give a business or individual permission to produce or sell adult-use or medical cannabis or hemp-derived cannabis products. As of April 1st, 113 people have applied for an MDA license.
