Lower courts have already blocked the order from taking effect, ruling it violates the Constitution.”

(St. Paul, MN) – Police in St. Paul say a two-year-old boy is in critical condition after falling from a second-story window in the Dayton’s Bluff neighborhood. The child was found unconscious but breathing on Tuesday night and rushed to the hospital. Investigators believe it was an accidental fall. No other information has been released.

 

>>Fridley Public Safety Trying to ID Owners of Dogs in Deadly Attack

(Fridley, MN) – Authorities in Fridley are asking for help identifying the owner of two dogs involved in a deadly attack on another dog. The victim reported they were carrying two dogs Sunday night when one of two loose dogs attacked them and killed one of their dogs. Investigators are looking for surveillance footage, video, photos, or any other evidence. The loose dogs are described as Staffordshire bull terrier mixes, one black and one tan.

 

>>Little Falls Pastor Charged with Sexual Abuse

(Little Falls, MN) – A Little Falls pastor is charged with sexually abusing a young child for years while living in Hutchinson. 33-year-old David Demenge faces multiple counts of first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct. According to the criminal complaint, Hutchinson police were contacted in January by a witness who reported the abuse of a young girl. The victim told investigators that when she was under the age of seven, Demenge punished her and a sibling by forcing them to take cold showers. She said Demenge would watch her shower and then touch her genitals afterward. The victim reported the abuse happened at least ten times between 2013 and 2018.

 

>>Minneapolis Sex Offender Sentenced to 27 Years in Federal Prison

(Minneapolis, MN) – A registered sex offender from Minneapolis has been sentenced to 27 years in federal prison for producing child sexual abuse material. Federal prosecutors say Robert Levi was found guilty of coercing a minor over several years to create and send explicit images online. Court records show Levi posed as a teenager, exchanged tens of thousands of messages with the victim, and falsely claimed to be in a relationship. Prosecutors say Levi continued exploiting the victim even after a 2024 conviction for criminal sexual conduct in Stearns County, which required him to register as a sex offender and placed him on probation.

 

>>Suspect Arrested in Mountain Iron ATM Theft Case

(Mountain Iron, MN) – One suspect is in custody after jackpotting an ATM at the North Star Credit Union in Mountain Iron. St. Louis County Investigators arrested 21‑year‑old Nixon Ospino‑Rodriguez as a suspect and obtained a felony theft warrant for his arrest. Deputies say they learned he was in the Austin, Texas area and worked with a violent crimes task force there to take him into custody on March 17th. The theft happened between midnight and 3 a.m. on February 2nd, when cash was stolen from a damaged ATM. The case remains active and ongoing. Authorities say there are still additional persons of interest in the case.

(Upper Midwest) – After more than two decades serving communities across Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North Dakota, Ruby’s Pantry is ending its operations. In a website post, the nonprofit says it recently went through a restructuring process and ultimately decided to shut down, effective immediately. Ruby’s Pantry served rural communities throughout the Upper Midwest for more than 20 years, providing low‑cost food distribution.

(Minneapolis, MN) – Xcel Energy crews are on standby as freezing rain and ice are expected overnight across central and southern Minnesota, including the Twin Cities. Forecasters warn the wintry mix could cause ice buildup, bringing down tree branches and power lines. Xcel says it’s closely tracking the storm and will prioritize restoring the largest outages first. Officials also encourage you to build a home emergency kit to use in the event of a power outage.
