>>Missing 14-Year-Old Moorhead Girl

(Moorhead, MN) — Moorhead police are searching for a missing 14-year-old. Arissa Mohamad is believed to have left her residence on Sunday morning or the night prior. She’s described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 140 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. Arissa was last seen wearing sleepwear, white athletic shoes, and a black backpack. She does not have her cell phone. 

 

>>Eichorn Pleads Not Guilty to Minor Solicitation Charge

(St. Paul, MN) — Former Republican Senator Justin Eichorn pleaded not guilty today to a federal charge of attempting to solicit a minor for sex. Eichorn resigned in March after being arrested earlier that month. He met with an undercover officer in Bloomington, whom he thought was a 17-year-old girl he was going to have sex with. Eichorn’s attorneys also filed a motion on Friday for modified release conditions so he can see his kids, who are minors. He is currently in a halfway home in Duluth.

 

>>MN BCA Requested to Investigate After Juvenile Female Dies in Police Pursuit

(Itasca County) — The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office is asking the MN BCA to investigate a police pursuit on Sunday that resulted in a girl’s death. After seeing a car without headlights, a deputy tried to stop the car. The driver fled, and a pursuit began. The car crashed and the driver died. She was not wearing a seatbelt. 

 

>>Hayfield Man Charged with 1st, 2nd-Degree Sexual Assault of Minors

(Mantorville, MN) — A Hayfield man faces nine counts in total of first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct. Court records say 39-year-old Jason Krueth sexually assaulted a victim beginning when she was between five and seven years old and continuing until she was nearly 14 years old on an almost daily basis. When voluntarily interviewed in February, Krueth denied the allegations. His conditional bail is $50,000, and he’s next due in court in May. 

 

>>First Ocean-Going Ship Arrives in Duluth Harbor  

(Duluth, MN) — The Duluth Seaway Port Authority is officially welcoming the first ocean-going vessel of the 2025 shipping season. The Federal Nagara passed under the Aerial Lift Bridge around 6 o’clock this morning. Officials say the saltie departed Germany in late March, carrying manufactured machinery headed for Duluth. The Federal Nagara’s captain and crew were welcomed during a ceremony today. 

 

>>UMN Dance Team Heading to ICU World Championships

(Undated) — The University of Minnesota dance team will represent Team USA at the International Cheer Union (ICU) World Championships. This is the Gophers’ third time doing so, the last being in 2014. UMN is known for its showstopping local and national performances in dance and cheer. The team leaves for Orlando, Florida, soon to compete Wednesday through Friday.
