(Hastings, MN) — Hastings police are searching for a missing 15-year-old. Danni Sturgill was last seen in Hastings on the night of April 17th. She’s believed to be in Hudson, Wisconsin, or St. Paul. Sturgill is described as white, 5 feet tall, 100 pounds, with blonde/brown hair and blue eyes.

(Ontario, Canada) — A missing Carver County man may have drowned while trying to cross into Canada via river. International Falls police reported 59-year-old Michael Tjosaas as missing in late December. His car was found in Koochiching County two weeks later, along with a kayak purchase, but no kayak was found. Ontario Provincial Police say they found Tjosaas’ body in the Rainy River on April 16th near Emo in Ontario, Canada. Officials believe no foul play is suspected and that he drowned.

(Minneapolis, MN) — Former GOP donor and convicted sex trafficker Anton “Tony” Lazzaro is suing his former attorney and the law group she’s employed at for allegedly stealing millions of dollars in gold. The lawsuit accuses Hillary Parsons of stealing over $750,000 worth of material that was found missing, which he says is worth $1.6 million today. This came after the FBI searched his Minneapolis apartment on December 14th, 2020, and seized gold and other precious metals with an estimated value of $2.1 million from his safe. Lazzaro hired Parsons and Tamburino Law Group as local counsel in August 2021 when accused of sex trafficking. He says Parsons stole the materials while transferring the gold to a Wells Fargo deposit box in his name. The Tamburino Law Group says Lazzaro’s claims are unsubstantiated, and no ethical violations have been found in his complaint by the Minnesota Board of Professional Responsibility.

(Mounds View, MN) — The Minnesota State Patrol reports one person is dead, and three others are injured after a multi-vehicle crash in Mounds View on Tuesday. Troopers responded to the scene around 10 a.m. on I-35W. Officials say seven vehicles, including two semis, were involved in the crash. Officials believe a merging conflict was the cause. 67-year-old Kirby Schwarzkopf of Brooklyn Park died at the scene, while Adrian Mejia, 24, Troy Pugsley, 54, and Illyas Osman, 36, were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

(St. Paul, MN) — The State of Minnesota is modifying its recently announced return-to-work policy by reducing the distance exemption for remote work. Employees who live more than 50 miles away from their workplace will still have the option to work remotely. Last month, Governor Tim Walz directed state employees to return to the office for at least half of their working hours starting June 1st.
