(Moorhead, MN) — Moorhead police are searching for a missing 17-year-old. Chad Stewart Jr. left his residence on March 7th and hasn’t been found since. Chad is described as Native American, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 115 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.

(Duluth, MN) — A Duluth apartment is estimated to have $80,000 in damage after a fire Sunday night. Crews responded around 8:59, finding a commercial space with an apartment above it. Smoke was seen coming from the back of the apartment. No injuries were reported, but two residents were displaced. The cause of the fire is unknown.

(Montevideo, MN) — Police and the Minnesota BCA have closed their investigation into the 2023 death of a Montevideo man. On September 18th, 69-year-old Mitchell Twite’s body was found in a lot across the street from Inn Like Flinn’s bar. Twite was a bartender there and had worked the night before. Police say Twite died of self-inflicted stab wounds.

(Minneapolis, MN) — A Redwood Falls man has been found guilty of trafficking marijuana and possessing firearms and ammunition as a felon. A federal jury found 41-year-old Andrew Munsinger guilty after a five-day trial. Munsinger was a member of the Aryan Freedom Network, a white supremacist organization, and the subject of a year-long FBI investigation. On February 7th, 2024, the FBI executed a search warrant on his Redwood Falls residence, two vehicles, and farm near Lake Lillian. Officials turned up five firearms, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, high-capacity magazines, gun accessories, and a bullet-resistant vest. They also found over five pounds of marijuana in heat-sealed packages, a weed-growing operation, and $24,300 in cash in $100-bill denominations.

(Minneapolis, MN) — The American Red Cross is on the ground in the South and parts of the Midwest hit by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding. Officials say 24 first responders from the Minnesota and Dakotas Region have been deployed. They are providing shelter, meals, and supplies to storm victims. Seven Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) from our region are on alert to help deliver food and water and clean up kids.

(St. Paul, MN) — The state Office of Traffic Safety is announcing another round of grants for school districts and transportation companies to install school bus stop arm cameras. $1.3 million will equip 465 school buses in its final round of funding. The cameras will be provided to 18 school districts and bus companies across Minnesota. So far, the department has awarded more than $15 million in state-funded grants for school bus stop arm cameras, outfitting a total of 8,000 school buses. Last year alone, these cameras helped identify 2,105 drivers who failed to stop when the stop arms were extended.

(St. Paul, MN) — Attorney General Keith Ellison announced that Anderson Brothers Construction Company of Brainerd has agreed to pay nearly $1.3 million to resolve allegations it violated both the federal and Minnesota False Claim Acts. Ellison claimed the company knowingly falsified test results, saying its paving material appeared to be of higher quality than it was. Ellison says the company used those results to seek payments for road paving between 2017 and 2022. The money from the settlement will be split almost evenly between the federal government and the state of Minnesota.

(Undated) — Two Minnesota Lynx giants are joining the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. The Hall announced on Saturday that Maya Moore and Sylvia Fowles will be added to the 2025 class in September. Moore and Fowles have a combined 14 All-Star appearances. The two also boast a league MVP award, winning games in the WNBA championships, and were named among the WNBA’s 25 greatest players ever in 2021. Fowles retired in 2022 and Moore in 2023.
