(Maple Grove, MN) — The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is searching for a missing man. 35-year-old Corey Dixon Jr. was last seen leaving his home on a bicycle around 8 p.m. on Monday. The bike is possibly a blue 10-speed. Dixon is described as Black, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue shorts.

(Eden Prairie, MN) — A young child suffered critical injuries in a hit-and-run in Eden Prairie. Police responded around 8:20 p.m. on Thursday to an intersection. Investigators believe a woman and four children were in a crosswalk when the woman and two of the children being pulled in a wagon were hit by a white sedan. All three were brought to Hennepin Healthcare, with the woman and one child suffering non-life-threatening injuries and the other child suffering serious injuries. Anyone with information about the suspect vehicle should call 911.

(St. Paul, MN) – The Minnesota State Fair came close to setting a new attendance record on Thursday for an opening day. The attendance on Thursday was 137,148. That missed the record set last year of 138,875 visitors. That’s a difference of just over 1,700 people. In 2024, there were five record days during the 12-day fair. Organizers are hoping for the same type of results this year due to the cooler and drier weather in the forecast. This year’s state fair runs through Labor Day, September 1st.

(St. Cloud, MN) — The Central Minnesota Youth Soccer Association has purchased Selke Field from St. Cloud State University. The athletic field was used by the Huskies for nearly a century. The youth soccer association has agreed to pay $350,000 for the field. St. Cloud State will use that money to reinvest in facilities on campus. The Central Minnesota Youth Soccer Association serves 1,100 kids each year and fields about 25 competitive teams. They raised more than $100,000 through a crowdfunding effort to pay for Selke Field.

(Minneapolis, MN) – Tomorrow, the Animal Humane Society is taking part in the national “Clear the Shelters” day. Thanks to a generous donor, the shelter is offering a 50% discount on all adoption fees tomorrow, only from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The donor made the generous gift in memory of her two beloved dogs, Jolene and Nellie. The adoption event will be held at all three shelters located in Golden Valley, Coon Rapids, and Woodbury.

(St. Paul, MN) – The Minnesota Wild have signed center Marco Rossi to a three-year contract. The deal is worth a total of $15 million and goes through the 2027-28 season. Rossi recorded career-highs in points with 60, goals with 24, and assists with 36. He ranked first on the Wild with seven power-play goals. Rossi turns 24 years old next month.
