(Apple Valley, MN) — Police and family continue to search for an Apple Valley man who went missing on Tuesday. 42-year-old Shuefab Xiong was last seen arriving to work at Domino’s in Apple Valley. Xiong never made four deliveries scheduled for 6 p.m. Police say he may have been in Richfield around 6:45 p.m., using someone else’s phone to attempt to contact family. Xiong is described as Asian, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 215 pounds, bald, with a black mustache and beard, and brown eyes. He drives a red Toyota Camry with MN license CWT-545.

(Rochester, MN) — Rochester Police saved a 20-year-old man from an apparent drug overdose this morning. First responders found the victim on the floor of a northeast Rochester residence around 4:45. He was given life-saving care and brought to a hospital. Police say this is at least the third suspected drug overdose in Rochester in 2025.

(Belle Plaine, MN) — A man is charged with federal hate crimes after assaulting a Black man outside a Belle Plaine bar. On or around February 3rd, the 35-year-old suspect allegedly used force or threats of force to injure and intimidate the victim due to his race. The suspect faces a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison, 10 years for each offense, and a fine of up to $250,000.

(Brooklyn Park, MN) — The FBI and Homeland Security are investigating a Brooklyn Park man accused of trying to poison his wife with ricin, a substance considered a terrorism agent and biological weapon. Last Friday, police and SWAT responded to a domestic incident in Brooklyn Park. Several people were safely removed from the home until the 54-year-old suspect was arrested. The victim told police the man had ground up castor beans and put them into her food and beverages to poison her. The suspect was arrested Tuesday for probable cause murder and released on Wednesday.

(Fargo, ND) — A Fargo apartment building owner believes a fire Wednesday was set intentionally. No injuries were reported, and most tenants were later allowed to return. Owner John Lynn says police were originally responding to a burglary call; the fire was only reported a few minutes later. The investigation is ongoing.

(St. Paul, MN) – Minnesota Governor Tim Walz announced his budget plan for 2025. The main points include cuts in state spending, lowering the sales tax for all Minnesotans, and stopping fraud. Walz says his plan will keep Minnesota on the plus side and avoid a deficit predicted by the Budget Forecast by the end of the decade. The Governor cited that Minnesota has had a balanced budget for the past six years, and this is “doable without denying services to a single person.” Following his announcement, Senate Republican Caucus Leader Mark Johnson from East Grand Forks called it a “missed opportunity” and that “We need a budget that puts Minnesotans first, not government first.” He goes on to say that Republicans will stand against budgeting tricks that raise fees and taxes on regular Minnesotans.
