(Cokato, MN) Fire crews from several agencies battled a fire at a chicken egg production facility near Howard Lake. The call came in at Forsman Farms shortly before 6 a.m. Extreme cold hampered firefighting efforts. The same farm was the site of a massive fire in May of 2022, which killed an estimated 200,000 chickens. No further details are available at this time.

(Undated) — A week into the search for missing 42-year-old Shuefab “Shue” Xiong has turned up a car in Wisconsin. Xiong, an Apple Valley pizza delivery driver, was reported missing last Tuesday when he failed to make four scheduled deliveries. Around 4 p.m. Saturday, police in Superior found his unoccupied red Toyota Camry. A friend of Xiong’s also reported speaking to Xiong in Roseville around 8 p.m. Police believe Xiong may be having a mental health crisis. His family is offering a $20,000 reward for his safe return.

(West Fargo, ND) — A Moorhead man is in the Cass County jail after leading police on a brief pursuit in West Fargo early Monday morning. West Fargo Police say officers saw a man passed out behind the wheel of a car parked at a gas station. When an officer tried to contact the driver, later identified as 42-year-old David Jacobsen, he drove off. Police deployed stop sticks, and Jacobsen drove over them. An officer used a pursuit intervention technique to stop the vehicle. Jacobsen was arrested for felony fleeing, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, and multiple outstanding warrants. No one was hurt during the pursuit.

(Minneapolis) – Gas prices have jumped in Minnesota over the holiday weekend. According to AAA (Triple A), the average price for regular unleaded is now over three dollars a gallon at $3.02. That’s an increase of eight cents a gallon since last week and 14 cents higher than a month ago. The average in the Twin Cities is even higher at $3.08 a gallon. The national average is sitting at $3.12 a gallon.

(Undated) — Two Minnesota colleges upheld their national titles over the weekend. The University of Minnesota dance team took first in pom for the third year in a row, also nabbing second in jazz. The U’s spirit squad took first in the program for the coed game day cheer category. And for the second year in a row, Minnesota State University, Mankato, also won trophies in pom and jazz.

(Minneapolis) – Bad news for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The team announced an MRI revealed guard Donte Divincenzo (De-vin-chen-zo) has a grade 3 toe sprain. The Wolves will get a second look at the toe and can’t say how much playing time he will miss. The Wolves are in Memphis this afternoon, where they lost 108-106 to the Grizzlies.
