Prosecutors say 43-year-old Kyle Ricke shot Officer Kevin Cram eight times, then fled and was arrested at a relative’s home near Sleepy Eye in southern Minnesota. The officer was trying to arrest Ricke on a harassment warrant from an adjacent county and the defendant allegedly told his sister days before, that he would not go back to jail. Prosecutor Scott Brown indicates dash and body cam video was key in the state’s case because it allowed the jury to actually see what happened.
