Twenty-five-year-old Ryder Grove of Hibbing was discovered outside with gunshot wounds to the arm and leg but is expected to recover. The Chisholm police chief said both Lindsey and Leo had children, family, and friends who are now left grieving an unimaginable loss.

The couple says they’re heartbroken over the murders of Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, in Brooklyn Park. The suspected gunman, Vance Boelter, is in custody and faces charges including murder, attempted murder, and stalking.

Their house was broken into days after the shooting, but the family said nothing appeared to be stolen. (St. Paul, MN) – Minnesota added 6,600 jobs in May, doubling the national growth rate. The labor force grew by more than 2,200, marking gains in 10 of the past 12 months. Unemployment rose slightly to 3.3%, still below the U.S. rate of 4.2%, while labor force participation held steady at 68.2%. DEED Commissioner Matt Varilek credits workforce investments for the state’s continued strong job growth. Leading sectors included Leisure and Hospitality, Education and Health Services, and Trade, Transportation, and Utilities. Losses were seen in Construction, Other Services, and Mining & Logging. Government jobs rose slightly at the state and local levels, while federal jobs declined. Over the past year, Minnesota has added more than 40,000 jobs—a 1.3% increase, ahead of national growth.
