Staff at the Hampton Inn reported a group of men exited a room on Thursday that was filled with smoke and smelled like chemicals. Authorities arrested two suspects at the scene. Officials say two officers and two hotel workers were exposed to a substance believed to be fentanyl. They were all taken to the hospital, and the officers were treated and released.

 

>>Authorities Investigate Allegations Of Inappropriate Behavior On Rogers School Bus

(Rogers, MN) – Authorities are continuing to investigate reports of hazing and inappropriate behavior involving members of the Rogers High School basketball team. The incident is believed to have happened last month on a team bus. Activities Director Dan Ohlgren told families in an email that school administrators are working to determine whether any criminal activity occurred. Rogers police say that because minors are involved and the allegations are sensitive in nature, no additional details are being released at this time.

 

>>Driver Suspected Of DWI After Crashing Into Rochester Home

(Rochester, MN) – Rochester police are investigating after a car crashed into a home this morning. Authorities say the vehicle, with a single occupant, struck the house, and the driver is suspected of impaired driving. Three people inside the home were taken to the hospital as a precaution, and the driver was also transported for medical evaluation. The investigation is ongoing.

 

>>Duluth Police Arrest Suspect in Mail Theft Case

(Duluth, MN) – A man is in custody for a mail theft incident in Duluth this week. Police say 25‑year‑old Michael Huisinger was arrested on unrelated charges, but the information from the mail theft case led officers to him. Investigators say Huisinger admitted he was the one involved. The case remains active. Officers were originally called around 12:10 a.m. on Wednesday, reports of someone digging through mailboxes and opening mail. Huisinger fled before police arrived.

(St. Paul, MN) – The Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management is warning consumers not to use Tidal Wave brand 3.5-gram disposable vapes distributed by Ocean Wholesale LLC. State testing found the vapes contain more THC than allowed and are mislabeled, despite packaging that claims they contain less than 0.3% THC. All Tidal Wave vapes from this distributor are affected, and they were sold in hemp and tobacco shops across Minnesota, as well as online. Because the products exceed legal THC limits, OCM says they may pose health risks, especially for people with existing medical conditions.

(Minneapolis, MN) – The Minnesota Timberwolves go for their third straight victory tonight at 8 p.m. when they play the Portland Trail Blazers at Target Center. The Wolves rolled over the Jazz 147-111 on Wednesday night. The team is 2-0 since Anthony Edwards went down with a knee injury. Minnesota is in fourth place in the West with a 43-27 record. The 34-36 Blazers are in ninth and fighting for a playoff position.
