(Jordan, MN) — Jordan Police are searching for a missing woman. 37-year-old Danielle Wrobleski was last seen in December and last contacted her family from a St. Paul business. She’s described as white, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information is urged to call 911. 

 

>>Owatonna Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for 1974 Murder

(Dunn County, WI) — An Owatonna man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a Minneapolis woman in February 1974. 25-year-old Mary Schlais was fatally stabbed while hitchhiking from Minneapolis to Chicago for an art show. Her body was found on a road in Dunn County, Wisconsin. Genetic testing of a stocking cap left at the scene led to the November 2024 arrest of 84-year-old Jon Miller. He fatally stabbed Schlais after she turned down his offer of sex. 

 

>>Moorhead Man Found Unsresponsive in Red River Dies

(Moorhead, MN) — A man who was found unresponsive in the Red River in south Moorhead Wednesday afternoon has died. Moorhead and Fargo Fire responded to the call around 4:30 p.m. Police say the body of the 63-year-old Moorhead man was sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office. The circumstances of how the man ended up in the river remain under investigation. His name has not been released.

 

>>Chatfield Man Sentenced to 3 Years for Fatal 2022 Crash 

(Rochester, MN) — A Chatfield man has been sentenced to three years in prison for a September 2022 crash that killed 36-year-old Rick Hutton of Rochester. 60-year-old Nicholas Sprau pleaded guilty to felony criminal vehicular homicide in December. Police say Hutton was heading south on Highway 52 on his motorcycle around 10 p.m. when he was hit by Sprau, who was northbound. Hutton was killed while Sprau and his passenger were uninjured. Sprau admitted to drinking at a party six hours before the crash. His BAC was .185. 

 

>>Some Files to be Unsealed in Huisentruit Investigation

(Mason City, IA) — Some documents in the 1995 disappearance and murder of MN native Jodi Huisentruit will be unsealed. A Mason City, Iowa judge has deemed a search warrant, endorsement, and application for said warrant may all be unsealed as they don’t have information that would compromise the investigation. This comes after person of interest, John Vansice, died in December. The warrant contains GPS data from two of his vehicles. The affidavit filed supporting the search warrant application will remain sealed as it contains sensitive information about times, items found at the scene and their specific locations, and other observations. The documents will be unsealed in 31 days, barring an appeal.

 

>>Blaine Day Care Worker who Abused Children is Expected to Accept Plea Dea

(Coon Rapids, MN) — A woman from Coon Rapids, Elizabeth Wiemerslage, faces allegations of child abuse at a daycare center in Blaine and is expected to plead guilty. She plans to admit guilt to the charge of malicious punishment of a child under four years old. In exchange for her plea, she will serve 90 days in jail, and other charges against her will be dismissed. As part of the plea deal, the 23-year-old is also required to write a letter of apology and undergo a psychological evaluation. Wiemerslage is scheduled to be sentenced on May 16th.

(Corcoran, MN) — Crews are responding to a large grass fire in Corcoran today. One of the many reported statewide, the DNR has issued spring burning restrictions for several counties due to dry conditions.

 

>>ATF Agents Investigate Fargo Tesla Charging Station Arson

(Fargo, ND) — Federal agents are investigating an arson in Fargo, North Dakota, Friday that damaged a Tesla charging station. Fire crews responded to the Scheels All Sports parking lot around 3:15 a.m. It’s unknown if the fire originated from the charges or wood chips around them. Attacks on property carrying the logo of Elon Musk’s electric car company have increased around the country recently.
