>>St. Louis Park Police Seek Information on Deadly Car Crash and Fire

(St. Louis Park, MN) – Police in St. Louis Park are looking for information about a deadly car crash and fire late Monday night near Highway 100. First responders found a sedan on its roof, completely engulfed in flames. No one exited the vehicle, and officers couldn’t get close due to intense flames and smoke. Firefighters later located one person dead inside after the fire was put out. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the St. Louis Park P.D.

 

>>Police Report Shows Rep. Hudson Was Passenger During Rep. Engen’s DWI Stop

(White Bear Lake, MN) – A newly released police report shows another state lawmaker was inside the vehicle during Representative Elliot Engen’s recent drunk‑driving arrest. The report says Representative Walter Hudson was a passenger when Engen was stopped Thursday for speeding, an expired registration, and a broken headlight. Engen blew a .13 blood‑alcohol level. He’s now charged with fourth‑degree DWI. Officials say Hudson told officers he was carrying a concealed 9‑millimeter handgun. Police temporarily took the firearm for safekeeping after confirming Hudson had a valid permit. Officers also noted a bottle of liquor in the vehicle, which Hudson said belonged to him.

 

>>MnDOT 2026 Road Construction

(St. Paul, MN) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation’s (MnDOT) 2026 road construction season includes more than 200 projects to help improve and maintain Minnesota’s roads, bridges, and other transportation infrastructure. MnDOT Commissioner Nancy Daubenberger says it will improve safety and mobility, and support jobs throughout the state. She says 51 projects will improve airports, water ports, railroad crossings, and transit.

 

>>Sen. Klobuchar Visits Bushmills Ethanol to Celebrate E-15 Summer Passage

(Atwater, MN) – Senator Amy Klobuchar paid a visit to Hutchinson and Atwater on Monday to visit 3-M and Bushmills Ethanol while Congress is on Easter-Passover break. She says Bushmills officials are happy President Donald Trump signed an executive order allowing E-15 gas to be sold nationwide this summer. Klobuchar believes this should be a permanent law that “isn’t at the mercy of who the president is, or always asking whether it’s a Democrat or Republican. She says she’s working with her Republican counterpart, Senator John Boozman of Arkansas, to make that happen if or when there’s a Farm Bill. Klobuchar joined leaders to discuss how homegrown fuels support farmers, create jobs, and offer more affordable options at the pump. Bushmills Ethanol produces ethanol, distillers’ grains, and corn oil while supporting agricultural markets statewide.

 

>>Sen. Klobuchar Visits MN Poultry Testing Lab in Willmar

(Willmar, MN) – The Minnesota Poultry Testing Lab in Willmar welcomed Senator Amy Klobuchar on Monday, who’s making trips statewide while Congress is on Easter-Passover break. Klobuchar says she didn’t realize how involved poultry farmers were with local testing. Officials told her that test results get dropped off anytime something suspicious is noticed, and it’s tested immediately. Klobuchar fought for $1 million in funding to expand the University of Minnesota Veterinary Diagnostics Lab testing capacity this year. She says this will better equip the lab to address the pressing issue of avian influenza, both statewide and nationally.

 

>>Twins Set for Home Opener Friday Against Rays

(Minneapolis, MN) – The Minnesota Twins are getting ready for their Home Opener on Friday at Target Field against the Tampa Bay Rays. Fans arriving early can enjoy a free concert by Minnesota cover band The Fabulous Armadillos, starting around 1 p.m. The first 10,000 fans through the gates will also receive a free Twins beanie. The team is offering a pregame happy hour beginning when gates open at 1 p.m., featuring beer, hot dogs, and snacks for just $2 each. The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin, medal-winning U.S. Olympic curlers.
