Prosecutors say Christopherson groped the woman several times before a third trooper separated the two. He’s scheduled to be sentenced on June 17th.

(Minneapolis, MN) — A transgender security guard is suing the Minneapolis Police Department following an alleged dressing room confrontation. Catherine Doe claims an off-duty officer went on a vicious rant of cursing and intimidating her. The plaintiff says the incident took place while she was doing a routine check of a girl’s dressing room at the Minneapolis Convention Center during a 2024 dance competition. The suit says Officer Ryan Calhoun began yelling and screaming at Doe and threatened to put her in handcuffs and take her to jail if she approached the dressing room again. The plaintiff is seeking a jury trial and damages against the city and its police department for gender discrimination in violation of the Minnesota Human Rights Act and the Minneapolis Civil Rights Ordinance.

(Rochester, MN) — Police in Rochester say the suspect in a fatal shooting Thursday evening is now in custody. Officers say 34-year-old Derrell Williams was arrested today (Fri) about three miles from the shooting scene and jailed pending homicide charges. Williams is accused in the shooting death of 31-year-old Carlton Garnder of Rochester. Gardner was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in an apartment parking lot and died in the hospital. The initial report said it was a targeted shooting.

Zebby Matthews threw seven shutout innings in a 9-1 win over Miami in the rubber match Thursday. The Brewers topped the Padres 7-2 yesterday. All-Star Joe Ryan starts for Minnesota tonight against Milwaukee right-hander Chad Patrick. The Brewers usually draw a lot of fans to downtown Minneapolis.
