(Shakopee, MN) — A 28-year-old man is under arrest in connection with a fatal shooting Wednesday at the Canterbury Park Expo Center in Shakopee. Police officially identified the victim as 26-year-old Khalid Abdi of Shakopee. The AFSCME Council 5 union said Abdi was a field representative. Abdi was attending an Eid al-Adha (EED’-all ah-duh) event when he was shot multiple times. The suspect is in the Scott County jail awaiting charges.

(Moorhead, MN) — More details are emerging in the investigation into an incident at Horizon Middle School in Moorhead that left 12 students sick earlier this month. Police say the students consumed gummy candies containing 300 milligrams of THC, well above Minnesota’s legal limit of 50 milligrams per package. Investigators executed a search warrant at the home of Martin and Amanda Hulst, where they discovered what police described as a large-scale drug operation in the basement set up like a store. Officers seized nearly 1,900 THC cartridges, cannabis flower, edibles, wax products, psychedelic mushrooms, and more than 70-thousand dollars in cash. The Hulsts were arrested and could face first-degree controlled substance charges. Authorities are also considering possible charges against the child accused of bringing the THC products to school.

Best Buy stock jumped 15 percent following the announcement.
