He explains, “It’s the story of a couple and woman who was detained by the dictatorship and tortured. She decides to take justice into her own hands when she comes across a person who she thinks is responsible.” Khalidi says the three-character play fared so well when it came out in the 90s that it was adapted into the 1994 film of the same name featuring Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley, and Stuart Wilson.
