(Lyon County, MN) — Lyon County is searching for an endangered 21-year-old man. Orion Charwood was last seen at his residence in Lynd, Minnesota, on October 16th. He’s described as white, five feet eleven inches tall, 220 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a black “Ice Nine Kills” t-shirt. Charwood does not have a vehicle.

(Eagan, MN) – Governor Tim Walz says the state is sending emergency funding to Minnesota food shelves. The governor announced while volunteering at a food shelf in Eagan, “We’re using our contingency accounts to provide four million to the food banks across Minnesota. It will not backfill everything that’s going to drop off starting on Saturday.” The U.S.D.A. says SNAP benefits will end in November if the federal government shutdown continues. Jason Viana, executive director of The Open Door Pantry in Eagan, says this news ultimately “helps us find ways to say yes, to provide more help where help is needed.” Viana says his food shelf served 22,000 Dakota County residents in September before the shutdown began.

(Washington, D.C.) — A St. Paul man is facing federal charges for allegedly threatening U-S Attorney General Pam Bondi in a TikTok post. The FBI says 30-year-old Tyler Avalos posted an image of Bondi with a sniper-scope dot and a message offering a $45,000 bounty “dead or alive, (preferably dead).” Officials traced the account to Avalos, who has prior convictions in Minnesota and Florida. He appeared in federal court earlier this month and was released on bond.

(St. Cloud, MN) — A St. Cloud man is facing felony charges after allegedly threatening another driver with an axe during a road rage incident. Police say 60-year-old Craig Duncan brake-checked and swerved in front of a vehicle, then pulled over and began swinging what the victim described as an axe. Duncan denied having an axe, claiming it was a tool used to dispatch roadkill. He’s charged with second-degree assault and felony threats of violence. Duncan’s next court date is November 20th.

(Forest Prairie Township, MN) — An Eden Valley woman was hurt in a single-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Meeker County. Deputies say 58-year-old Jennifer Hanson veered onto a street shoulder and overcorrected, hitting a post and mailbox. Hanson was the only person in the vehicle and was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

(Two Harbors, MN) – A record-breaking two thousand tickets have been sold for the Edmund Fitzgerald Memorial Beacon Lighting and commemoration ceremony at Split Rock Lighthouse on November 10th. This marks the 50th anniversary of the ship’s sinking in Lake Superior. Organizers say the event is now sold out. For those who wish to still watch the ceremony, the commemoration will also be streamed online. All 29 crewmembers were lost during that November storm in 1975.
