(Mankato, MN) — Testimony continues on the eighth day of the Adam Fravel murder trial. Two law enforcement officers took the stand this morning. Jurors heard from BCA Special Agent Winona Police Sergeant. Fravel allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend, Madeline Kingsbury, who went missing back in March.

(Minneapolis, MN) — A Minneapolis man is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly shooting his neighbor. Authorities say John Sawchak shot Davis Maturi last week during a dispute over a tree on their shared property line. Maturi is hospitalized with serious injuries, including a fractured spine. He reported a history of harassment and threats from Sawchak, including racial slurs.

(Minneapolis, MN) — A man is headed to prison for a murder in Minneapolis’ Loring Park neighborhood. Prosecutors say Mayan Deng Mayan shot a Rochester man to death more than two years ago. He pleaded guilty to the charges against him. Mayan was sentenced today to 34-and-a-half years in prison.

(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota is expanding early voting. Election officials say extending hours and locations ahead of the presidential election will allow more residents to participate. Over the recent weekend, about 42-thousand voters cast their ballots early.

(Bloomington, MN) – A woman has been arrested for stealing a sheep in Bloomington. Mary Kay Bower was spotted walking a dog and a sheep down a road earlier this month. She claimed she had bought the sheep, but the man she was with says she stepped over a fence, put a leash on the animal and led it away. Police Chief Booker Hodges says “sheep rustling” is probably a crime that “city dwellers” don’t often talk about.
