She is a prior trafficking victim who is at a high risk of re-victimization. Nave is described as Asian, 4 feet 10 inches, 110 pounds, with black hair with red highlights and brown eyes. She may be in the areas of Newport and Champlin.

(Fridley, MN) — Fridley police are searching for a missing 17-year-old boy. Demarco Campbell was last seen around 8:30 p.m. on September 20th. He’s described as Black, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 120 pounds, with long, curly brown hair and brown eyes. Campbell was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, a black hoodie, gray skinny jeans, and black and white New Balance shoes. Police say he may have left in a silver BMW with Minnesota license plates.

(Pine County, MN) — A missing 5-year-old boy with autism was found safe in the woods on Friday thanks to Project Lifesaver and a rapid, coordinated search. Pine County deputies say the nonverbal child wandered from a family campsite near Sturgeon Lake. Crews used drones, ATVs, a human tracking team—and even a neighbor’s horse—to search the area. Within an hour, the boy was found unharmed just three miles away using a signal from his Project Lifesaver tracking device. Officials say the program is vital for families with loved ones at risk of wandering.

(Minneapolis, MN) — A Minneapolis man pleaded guilty today to attempting to support ISIS. Court documents say 23-year-old Abdisatar Hassan tried to travel to Somalia twice to join the terrorist group and posted propaganda online praising attacks on Americans. FBI agents found bomb-making manuals, explosive materials, and messages with an ISIS recruiter on his devices stating he would “become ISIS straight away.” Hassan remains in custody and faces sentencing at a later date.

(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) paused work today in a first-ever statewide safety stand down to honor the tragic loss of two construction workers on Minnesota roads last week. Officials say it serves as a reminder to focus on improving safety in work zones. Last week, construction workers were struck and killed by construction vehicles in work zones in Burnsville and Maple Grove. MnDOT is asking all staff to recommit to the safety of every person who works with or for the agency.

Chad Kuyper, the co-lead of the Minnesota chapter of Moms Demand Action, says Democrats and Republicans need to come together to pass legislation to protect Minnesotans and “tell these people who are dragging their heels that it’s time for them to get to work.” If a special session is not called or legislation is not passed to ban these weapons, Kuyper says his group will still hold rallies and speak with Minnesotans to try to get action taken by our lawmakers.

(Tonka Bay, MN) — Tonka Bay Mayor Adam Jennings is running for Minnesota State Auditor. The veteran and small business owner says his finance background and public service record make him uniquely qualified to oversee the state’s $60 billion in public spending. Jennings says the auditor’s office should be “steady, trustworthy, and even a little boring,” because that means government is working. He notes his campaign will focus on accountability, transparency, and service.

(St. Paul, MN) – Governor Tim Walz has declared this as Soybean Week in Minnesota. Walz says, “Soybeans are Minnesota’s largest agricultural export and the heart of our agricultural economy, but our soybean farmers are confronting a crisis they haven’t seen since the 1980s.” The governor added that President Trump’s tariffs are making it difficult for soybean farmers, and there’s an increase in bankruptcies and a reduction in commodity prices. The governor says that because countries like China have stopped purchasing from the U.S., it could lead to billions of dollars in lost sales and financial strain on rural communities. This proclamation goes through Sunday, October 5th.

(Minneapolis, MN) – A reminder to all drivers in the Twin Cities: Minneapolis will flip the switch for the first five traffic safety cameras this week to catch speeders. The cameras are set up at five high-risk intersections throughout the city. To mark the beginning of using these cameras on Wednesday, Mayor Jacob Frey, along with several state lawmakers and city officials, will mark the occasion with a news conference tomorrow afternoon. (Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins are moving in another director following a 92-loss season. The team announced today that it has fired Manager Rocco Baldelli. Baldelli was with the Twins for seven seasons, compiling a record of 527 wins and 505 losses. That’s a winning percentage of .511. He has the third most wins as a Twins manager, trailing only Tom Kelly and Ron Gardenhire. Baldelli was named American League Manager of the Year in 2019. But this season, the team struggled to a record of 70-92. The Twins said they have started their search for a new manager.
