It appears alcohol played a role in the death of a man who accidentally fell from a seven-story window on the Bemidji State University campus. Early Sunday morning 19-year-old Isaac Morris of Cokato was found lying on the ground bleeding outside of Tamarack Hall. According to the medical examiner, Morris died of significant internal head trauma. According to police, Morris had been drinking at a large party earlier in the night. Detectives have interviewed seven adults who all played a part in hosting or procuring alcohol for the gathering. The case has been turned over to the Beltrami County Attorney’s Office for charges. In the wake of this tragedy, Bemidji Police are reminding all students to think responsibly and take proper precautions for personal safety in all activities.
